“Back on the pitch at long last” - Boys in Brown begin pre-season training
The Boys in Brown began their pre-season preparations after a seven-week break on Thursday in front of around 150 fans at the Kollau training complex. Head coach Alexander Blessin focused on work with the ball in the first session back.

AMENYIDO: "SEEING THE LADS WINNING MOTIVATED ME"
Etienne Amenyido is going into his third season at FC St. Pauli. His spell in brown and white has been peppered with highlights, such as his goal in the 2-1 DFB Cup Round of 16 win against Borussia Dortmund, but also with setbacks, such as a long injury layoff in the second half of last season. The striker is back to full strength at the Passeier Valley training camp, however, and raring to go in a new role this season.

Timo Schultz on the Benidorm training camp and the year ahead
The Boys in Brown kick off the new year with a winter training camp Benidorm on 2-9 January. Christopher Avevor and Jannes Wieckhoff miss out through injury and Luca Zander tested positive for Covid-19 over Christmas and has not travelled to Spain. Performance coach Karim Rashwan also tested positive. Both are triple jabbed and showing no symptoms. In addition, Kofi Kyereh is representing Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations and will also miss the training camp.
